Has anyone stayed in a Saratoga Springs Grand Villa? They look gorgeous, we're contemplating one for 2009. A couple of questions: does the "guest bath" on the first floor have a shower? Does anyone know if any of the GVs have a golf course view? Do you think we need 11 mos. out to book for January of '09?

That's it! Thanks!

We stayed in a GV in 2005. The guest bath does have a shower. I believe the Grandstand area would have golf course veiws. I just came back and our studio 8501 had a prefect colf course view. I would think you would not need to book day by day in January. I booked our GV day by day but we needed a HC room during the first 2 weeks of December. You will love the SSR GV. Susan

We had a Congress Park Grand Villa last June for 4 nights. We really loved it.

We had a DTD view. I liked having the full bath off the kitchen, but we really didnt use it to shower because each room upstairs has its own bath and the master has a full bath with separate shower and tub. The only thing I didnt like was that the toilet was not separated from the tub area in the master but it was not a problem at all.

I dont think you need to book day by day, but I would not wait too long because I did have to waitlist to get 1 of my days.

We hope to stay in 1 again real soon. The points are high, but I broke it down and compared the points over a 1 bed and 2 studios and its not as bad.

Thanks for the feedback. This is a girls' trip, probably 6 or 7 of us, so the more showers, the better! A GV will be so much more fun than two bedrooms and studios so we want to go for it. None of us have enough Saratoga Springs points, though, so I hope 7 months out booking will be OK.

We have a GV booked for Easter week. Since I was combining points from different resorts, I was not able to book until the 7 month mark. I did not book day by day because I was afraid I might get half-way through my week and then need to waitlist. I was able to get just what I needed in one phone call. Good luck!

Definitely!! It's perfect for a girls trip:goodvibes

We had the GV for our family reunion and on our last night, my sisters and I had a tea party in the Dining room. We served Royal Crown instead of tea and had a shoe swap. It was hilarious!:lmao:

It was great having a place to hold everyone. It really did remind me of the house we grew up in.
