what is the best current promotion for a 100 point add-on. Can't seem to find the answer anywhere

If you buy direct from Disney, it is $93.00 per point for 100 points. If you go up to 125, it is $91.00 per point.

However, you can do a lot better via resale. You can get a 150 - 160 point contract for the same price it would cost you for the smaller contracts through Disney.

If you are not in any rush, you might be able to save yourself money this way.

Good luck!

Right now for SSR I wouldn't do anything but resale. Should easily be able to get a nice contract for about $70 maybe cheaper.

I am looking to buy SSR for the first time right now and the info I got is from Disney for SSR you get a $13 per point credit for 100 points, that goes towards your down payment.

The two companies that the resellers used for financing have stopped lending currently and they do not have other finance companies to recommend. I am going to buy through Disney since the finance rate is pretty good compared to a personal loan rate, and you can pay it off early with no penalty.

Hope this helps you out, I am not sure if the incentives are the same for add-ons, but it shows on the finance sheet they sent me so it should be.

Just remember that not only are you going to pay the finance charges but also paying at least $23pt more than resale. If I was going to buy from Disney I would look at a resort that spread between resale and buying direct from Disney is less such as BLT. I understand the reasoning buying from Disney and we have done both direct and resale. Why are you buying SSR and maybe not BLT? Read up on the pros/cons for owning at various places. I would serriously think about this as the 11 month window for SSR is not that important compared to others. Not trying to derail you on this but just want to make sure you are think about some of the issues. Congrats and good luck on your pursuit and hope you are as happy as we are if/when you decide to buy DVC.:wizard:

I think that some of the reasons that OP is buying from Disney is that maybe they are offering a 100 point buy in for new members at SSR and AKL. Maybe AKL isn't his/their taste. If you want SSR through Disney...its your money!

OP is a member wanting to add-on at SSR. Even at a savings of $19 per point buying SSR add-on direct through Disney($93) it would make sense for them to take a really good look at resale contract prices where SSR 100 pts are $20+ less per point - yep it is their $ to spend where and how they like but that amounts to a significant savings for most folks (approx $2000) compared to buying an add-on directly through Disney.
