Saratoga Room requests

We were there in December and were in rooms 5232 and 5235, A 2BR and a studio. It was perfect for our family. We are currently in the process of buying DVC at SS but rented points in December. Here is our room request through Touring Plans:
Hello from Georgia! I would like to see if you could possibly accommodate our room request.
Our reservations are a standard 2BR and a standard Studio per the confirmation numbers above.
We would like to request an upper floor in the Paddock’s, preferably building 10 or 11.

• Getting the rooms on the same floor is a priority.
• Getting the rooms side by side would be great.
• We will be at Disney around 1:00 PM on the 1st.

We were in the building next to the pool and it was a nice pool. We would drive down and park in Congress Park next to the walkway to DS to visit the Springs and it was soooo..... much better that parking in the parking decks. If you will not have a vehicle and plan on going to DS frequently you may want to consider buildings 11 or 12.

Personally, I get pretty specific with my requests and it works out most of the time. I actually request specific room numbers and buildings - I'm checking in tomorrow at Saratoga, and requested Congress Park, building 1, with 6 different specific room numbers, with building 4 as the backup, also with 6 specific room numbers. Sometimes I get the room number requested, and usually when i don't, I get very close by. Last year I stayed at Boardwalk on 4 different trips, and got my exact requested room number 3 out of 4 times.

So that means you booked preferred ?

Yes - I usually book preferred when I go to Saratoga - I think the last time I booked Std was about 9 years ago - and I requested the last building of Paddock across from the Congress Park bus stop (and got it). I definitely prefer the Congress Park area in general and walk over to Springs often when there - even on park days I often start by walking over to the Springs busses to go to a resort nearest the park I'll be going to and enter the park via boat or walking from that resort.

When we went to SSR before they broke it into categories and charged more points for "preferred" area we always stayed there as well. It's the closet to DS's ,but I refuse to give more points for that. Enjoy.
