Saratoga Question

Can anyone tell me if you can walk to downtown disney from saratoga springs..?? Or is it just the boat to take you over?

You can walk to DTD. It's actually quite lovely and usually is quicker than waiting for a bus or boat.

And the walk back can help burn off the Ghiardelli chocolate.

The walk is so pretty from SSR to DD...Last summer I would wake up early and walk around SSR to DD to the West Side back to SSR...I'd like to think that helped work off my addiction to Wolfgang Pucks and Beaches N' Cream Probably not though

Wolfgang Puck Express and Earl of Sandwich are both open for breakfast.

Remember SSR is really big! If you are in the Congress Park section, walking is very easy; the other sections people will debate whether or not you can walk to DTD. So, if that is the focus (as opposed to the mained themed pool), ask to stay in the CP section.

We stayed in the Springs, and I think I would have liked the long walk, but for the fact that the days were typical summer in the 90s with humidity. I typically walked over to the boat dock (behind the Turf Club restaurant) and water taxied to DTD.

I happen to love DTD West Side and enjoyed the short (maybe 10 minutes without a baby stroller) stroll to that area from Grandstand. I would imagine if you're near CH in The Springs section, the walk would not be that bad either! I'm a huge fan of HOB so I prefer the WS area to MP anyway, but that's another option when walking ti DTD. Another note - some of the bell hops willdrive you to the walkway to DTD in CP too. Actually, they'll drive you just about anywhere the carts can go. We even got a ride to DTD while heading TO the path one night! I think it took my dad about 20 minutes to get back to Grandstand area from his walk home from DTD before he realized he could have taken WS home more quickly!

If you're at Congress Park, it's an easy walk. It would take about 10 minutes. Even if you're staying at the Paddoc, it's a nice walk. However, if you're staying at the Grandstand. It may not be the most ideal location to walk from.

my hsuband and I are pretty active.. we would rather walk for 20 minutes then wait 20 minutes for a boat.. when we stay at the Boardwalk we walk to/from MGM.. is it equivalent to that?? And how far is Rainforest Cafe from the CP area if I can get it...?? than you all so much for your responses...

I am going to say from the CP section to the RFC would be about 15-20 minutes. 10 to get to DTD Westside and then another 5-10 to get over to the Marketplace area. Its a nice walk, and probably about the same as from BW to MGM.

If you take the boat, it will stop at both sections of DTD.
