How old were you when they told you?

Nobody told anybody anything!!! As long as you believe you get presentsIf you don't believe Santa doesn't bring you anything

But, I hear rumblings among the 5th grade parents about them having "the talk" this year. I'm so not down with that. Leave Santa alone.

told me what?!?!?! lol j.k.
My bus driver told me a week before christmas in 1st grade. I was very upset....my mom was PISSED to say the least. she actually picked me up from school, took me to get waffles ala mode (a no no)...and told me the story of Yes, Virginia there is a Santa Clause.
I don't really remember why the bus driver told me. Maybe I wasn't behaving on the bus and so she said something about it then I don't really remember.

I believe kids need to find that out in the streets from other kids.
There are certain things a parent has to talk to their child about. Like sex..and drugs. Santa.....NO WAY.
We believe in Santa here!
) where one of the kids told us she found the presents in a closet in her house.
I think then I knew..but chose to still hold out hope!
I might also add that I grew up in a primarily Jewish area. It wasn't unusual for there to be only two or three Christians in a our elementary school classes. Sooo...there was always that battle of whether there was or wasn't a Santa.
I still believed..probably until I was too old not too..clinging to that hope. By the time I realized everyone else was right..I still kept the secret from my younger siblings..it's as much fun to pretend as it was to believe.
My parents didn't say anything to me about it. Kids in the neighborhood talked about it & the older kids spilled the beans. I was in 5th grade. I still wanted to believe, so I didn't say anything to my parents. Over the years, we all knew I knew, but we still went along with it. I have younger siblings, the youngest being 11 years younger than I am. It was so fun to keep going with the specialness of the holiday. None of us ever said we didn't believe because in a way we do believe. We believe it is special because we got things our parents NEVER would have bought for us any other time. That does makes our parents like Santa.
I am not going to say anything to ruin it. I enjoy the looks on their faces on Christmas morning & that is the magic of the season for me.
