Is the Santa Claus meet one of the events you need to go to guest services to get tickets? I thought I read you needed to get tickets in advance for Santa and the gingerbread house.

You don't need them for Santa Claus. There are several opportunities to see/meet Santa. But you do need them for the gingerbread house making class...and they go fast so get them as soon as you board! We got ours at guest services.

On our Merrytime cruise on the magic in Nov 2016 there was a really long line for Santa after dinner in the atrium. They had hot chocolate and cookies between guest services and the gingerbread house, and a nice and naughty Santa list next to the elevators. It caused a little spat between my boys when one signed the other up as naughty. Funny now, but at the time I was ready to take them out of line up to bed, lol.

You sign up for gingerbread house making at the Port Adventures desk when you board the ship. I recommend signing up asap.

We signed up at Guest Services last year on the Magic.
That's nice. On the Fantasy, sign up was at the Port Adventures desk this past December. I asked at Guest Services and was directed to go there.

That's nice. Different ships, different places, I guess.
