When did your kids stop believing. I hate the thought of it as mine is only 6, but I know its coming. I made the decision last night after a thread of christmas pics at WDW that the first year he doesn't believe we would spend Christmas at WDW. So in trying to plan ahead I wanted to know about what year we would be going.

ooh, that's a great idea! :goodvibes I think it's coming soon here too....my dd is 7 and I think she might figure it out this year, since she's been asking a lot of questions... I believe there was another thread that had something to do with Santa, so you might want to try a search for that.

Well I think my DS10 is wise to the whole Santa thing, but doesn't say anything for his mama and little brother's sake (Isn't he sweet). My younger DS9 still believes in Santa. Anytime this has come up (So and so said Santa is not real), I just ask him what he believes. He always responds that Santa is real. So when the time actually comes we will have the Santa talk, but as of yet I still have not had to do it. I know all kids are different so it would be hard to say exactly.

My dd is 8 and still believes although she has questioned me. I told her he's real if you believe. We are going to WDW for Christmas so she plans to write santa and let him know that we will be gone. Santa will visit us at home while we are away.

DD#1(will be 8 in 2wks!) has questionned and I am sure has many doubts- but thankfully she has not made it an issue for DD#2(5) -I really want one more year of my little one's joy at Xmas.

I have made it clear, tho, that Santa only brings 3 gifts each(and not big ones) to every child(settled on 3 because of the 3 wise men) and that parents give the rest. It was important to me that my elder DD didn't think that Santa gave more to families able to afford more gifts rather than poor/low income families. Every year she has to dip into her piggy bank and buy gifts for a child her age from the salvation army's wish tree. This will be the 2nd year that my 5 yr old will be doing it as well.

I didn't believe since I was 5 myself so I am glad that my little one still enjoys the fantasy

NO SANTA? What do you mean there's such thing?

I'm 45 and I STILL believe in that jolly old fella! Who's been leaving all those nice gifts that we find under the tree every Christmas morning....they're not there when I go to bed on Christmas Eve! ;)

My now 9 year old has questioned Santa and Mickey around Kingergarten or 1st grade because of things school friends said. I asked her what she believed and she said she did believe they were real. I also said that if you do not believe or if you become an adult, then you do not get gifts anymore!

Although she's had doubts, I firmly believe she still believes because of things she does and says. The notes she still writes Santa lead me to believe that she still believes or she just really wants to.

My almost 6 year old still firmly believes.

I have a feeling we'll be a family that NEVER admits Santa or Mickey aren't real. They'll always be real in our family. ;)
