So how does that fat jolly man enter to make deliveries?

Fireplace, magic door key, window???

No fireplace, so that busts that myth. ;)

We tell the kids that we don't know how he does it. Everything Santa does is a secret.

Fireplace - my boys have always been in a home with a fireplace on Christmas morning.

Fireplace with our family, but when I was young we moved to a house without one. Santa was magic and could get into any house .

both.

Previous house had no fireplace so we had a magic key.

We currently have a house with a fireplace so the magic key is now sort of like the pickle. The key goes into a different kids stocking every year and who ever has it gets to play Santa and help pass out gifts.

I've never had a fireplace :( , even when I was a little girl, but we lived out in the country and no one ever locked their doors, so Santa just came in the front door, no key or anything. For my girls, we have always had a Santa's Magic Key.

I try not to ever give a solid answer. I just say that I wonder the same thing. Keeps the imagination going and it limits the chance for getting caught in my own (I use the term loosely) lie.
