Thank you,
figment_jii, for posting the link to the Superthread above ^^^.
I'll throw this out there for anyone else reading this, who may not be aware if the scoop on Santa at DLR...
All of the Santas around DLR (including the 3 hotel Santas),
with the exception of one, are supposed to be gone after Christmas Eve (
maybe Christmas Day, if he is feeling generous!).
The only Santa that sticks around past Christmas Day --
and it is important to note that he will not be in his red suit -- is the one at the Jingle Jangle Jamboree. DIS'er
Malcon10t had seen this off-duty/post-Christmas Santa in the past, but it was never officially revealed or declared by Disney that Santa would be anywhere beyond 12/24, so it seemed that it could be a hit-or-miss sort of deal -- maybe some years they would let him stay into the New Year, and maybe other years they wouldn't.
I finally got Disney to confirm Santa's post-Christmas appearance at the JJJ (in a
Parks Blog about Santa), and acknowledge that Santa -- in a different outfit -- would be at the JJJ past 12/24. The JJJ's Casual Santa -- I call him "Green Plaid Santa" because he wears an outfit with a bit of green in it and a bit of plaid -- is at the JJJ until the holiday season ends in early January. He may or may not be at his outdoor photo spot, or inside the cabin. He seems to greet guests in both places in each year.
The Jingle Jangle Jamboree -- like all of the other holiday events and entertainment around DLR -- is usually due to stay open (which means it stays in holiday mode) through the official end date of the season, so it will be January 6th in this case. (Although... I would not be entirely shocked if the JJJ stayed open just a few days longer than scheduled this time around -- through 1/11, just as Haunted Mansion Holiday is doing this year. Disney probably expects a lot of people in the parks as of 1/7/15, for Frozen Fun festivities, and they may want to keep a few extra things open for people to enjoy -- especially if there is no real necessity [refurb, maintenance, seasonal switchover, etc.] to close down whatever the attraction is on 1/6.)
