I called MS today, and could not book reservations for days beyond 180 from today.
At one point I thought we could book dinning at 180 days from the start of a reservation, plus 10 days, for the remainder of the stay.
Did I imagine this?
Has the policy changed to a strict 180 days from the day of the reservation?
Thank You,
Mike

It should be 180 to the start of your reservation plus 10 for up through the remainder of your reservation, but if you have a segmented reservation it might not work.

Did you try booking online?

When you book online more than 180 days, the system prompts you to input your reservation number, than you can book the ADR's. Worked fine when I booked out Sept 11 ADRs.

My error.
We have a split stay, the reservations i attempted to make were for dining after the start of the second portion of the stay. Unfortunately, although we will be on property for an 11 day period, our 180 + 10 window does not open until we check in at the second resort. We could book 180+3 for the first half of the split stay. In hindsight, I should have planned the longer portion of the stay on the front end vs. the back end.
Thanks All,
Mike

Do you have more than 1 reservation number? We are doing 2 split stays in the near future, but since MS put the 2 parts together I only have 1 reservation number for each trip. Therefore I was able to book all of my ADRs online at the 180 mark. Where I encountered challenges was setting up ME with 2 different resorts, but only 1 reservation number.

You should still be able to make them. I have a split stay as well as a segemented trip and I could make my reservations from the start of the first day. The number of nights you are staying have no impact. Someone could book 1 night on property and would still be able to book up to 10 days using that reservation #.

You should be able to book 10 days out 180 days from the first night of your trip. Have you tried doing it online? I had no trouble this way.

Good luck!

Thank you all, the system is telling me I am more than 180 days out. I'll give it a shot again tomorrow.
The issue may be in how the original reservation was booked, we added on a day on the front end, and it looks like a segmented reservation on the dvcmember site. On the Disney.com site it looks like the trip starts 1 day later.
We'll see what tomorrow brings. :)

:) sometimes I think the site can get hinky of you are logges into more than one Disney type site, too. Folks used to complain about not being able to do things and this was suggested as a possibility for problems. :confused3 Of course it could have nothing to do with this at all...I am blonde and it is early Sat morning.

All is well, things worked as expected this morning 180 + 10. However it was 180 based on the second segment of my first reservation.
Thanks all.

I'm glad everything worked out today...my 180 day mark was yesterday as well and the website was a total wreck yesterday morning from what I could tell. They had a note up that they were having trouble retrieving reservations etc. It took me a while to finally get everything booked, although the site seemed to be working much better when I finally got into work!
