I can't find my tried and true recipe for Sangria with red wine. I googled it and haven't decided which to try. Does any one have a great recipe to share?:flower3:

I love sangria recipes that include brandy. This is one I have made many times and it's always a hit! If you tend to like it sweet replace the sparkling water with sprite or 7up. :) I also add strawberries.

Ingredients
1 (750-ml) bottle red wine
1/4 cup brandy
1/4 cup orange flavored liqueur (recommended: triple sec or Grand Marnier)
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 orange, thinly sliced
1/2 lemon, thinly sliced
1 unwaxed apple, cored, and cut into thin wedges
1 (750-ml) bottle sparkling water, chilled

Directions
Combine everything but the sparkling water in a large plastic container or glass pitchers. Cover and chill completely, 1 to 2 hours. When ready to serve, add the sparkling water.

Yep, but I use sparkling wine instead of seltzer. Made it last night for a party today (made it 4 times bigger) and its gone (as usual - I am always asked to bring it).

Ive heard... find like a La Rioja red wine, add in some brandy, sugar and fruit. Ive never tried to make it myself.

I never use a recipe but these are basically the ingredients I use. I make a simple syrup with the sugar too. I've been adding a cinnamon stick too and I love that addition!

Very similar to the way I make it. The only difference is I make simple syrup instead of straight sugar, I add 1/4 or so of peach schnaaps and use ginger ale instead of sparkling water. The fruit may vary, depending what I have on hand.

I just had a glass leftover from the double batch I made on the 4th. Still really good!:cool1:

Mountain Dew instead of sparkling water...........a splash of Grand Marnier helps too!!! Yummy! May have to whip up a batch for the pool today ;)

I love this one. I used Rosa Regale that I found at Cost PLus, it's the same wine that's very popular at the Italy Pavillion in Epcot

Ingredients
2 cups no-pulp orange juice
3 to 6 ounces orange liqueur
2 tablespoons honey
1 cinnamon stick
2 blood oranges or clementines, supremed
1 Granny Smith apple (or other tart apple), cored and chopped into 1/4-inch cubes
1 Anjou (red) pear, peeled, cored and chopped into 1/4-inch cubes
2 liters sweet sparkling red wine, chilled (recommended: Rosa Regale)
1 liter lemon lime soda, chilled

In a large pitcher or punch bowl, whisk together orange juice, orange liqueur and honey. Add cinnamon stick, blood oranges, apple and pears, stir to combine. Set aside at room temperature to macerate, at least 1 hour, until ready to serve. Add wine and soda, stir gently to combine, and serve immediately over ice.
