Sanford to CBR?

Can anyone give me an estimate of how long it would take for us to get from Sanford Airport to CBR? We land at 1:30 and I'm trying to decide our plans for the evening. I'm wondering when we could actually get to DHS if our flight gets in at 1:30. Thoughts? Thanks!

It took us about 55 mins to get from Sanford to POR. That should be about the same time it will take you...depending on how you are getting there. IF renting a car, it will take a tad longer. A towncar will be right there to meet you so that will be about 55 mins.

We just drove this and with no traffic it took about 45 min.

We take Lake Mary to I-4 all the way to WDW. You can take a toll road (I think 417??) but I really do not think the drive is any shorter.

You do drive thru downtown Orlando so you have to figure in rush hour but if your flight is on time-you should miss that.

Sanford is a small airport, so it does not take as long getting your rental car then at MCO.

It depends really. I would plan on an hour travel time. the good news it is a smaller airport and easier to get out of then MCO. If you rent a car the rental counter area is small and very crowded. I rented from budget and they were very friendly and got me out very fast compared to other counters around me.

Then you have to check in and at CBR that can take a while. If you are in a hurry, try the online check in before you go. Then their is the drive or bus to the park. Driving give yourself 15 minutes, using the bus give yourself an hour based on where you are in the resort and you may have to wait on another bus if a bus is full.

I have made the mistake once of making an ADR for 2 1/2 hours after we landed and we made it but barely and we had to run throught the park. It started the whole vacation on a stressful note.
