Sanford Distance to WDW?

I have always flown into MCO, but a local PA airport just announced new service to Sanford for cheaper than a flight out of Newark, so I'm thinking of switching over to Sanford.

We are planning to rent a car anyhow, so the only difference is the actual driving distance to WDW. So how long from Sanford to WDW?

About 50 minutes. We used a towncar service (actually a limo) and it was $200 r/t, but that was a limo, not a regular towncar. It's a very nice and user friendly airport.

It's taken us about an hour. Sanford is a great airport. It may take longer in driving time to get to WDW than it would going from MCO. However, it's such a small and easy airport that you are in and out of there in less time than you would be at MCO. We used to take PanAm from Portsmouth, NH. We were so disappointed when they stopped flying. We just loved flying into Sanford!

Agree with the previous posters - 50 to 60 minutes, but the smaller size of SFB makes the exit more efficient and we end up with about the same travel time from SFB as to we have had with MCO - however, we always use rental cars. The attached link maybe useful for anyone driving from SFB to WDW.

While Pam Am has stopped the Florida route from Portsmouth, Allegiant Air http://www.allegiantair.com/ now flies from Portsmouth to Sanford. My sister got tickets for 4 people R/T for $365

Sanford is a bit out of the way, but the route to WDW is all new, direct, and fast. It's a toll road, so the locals and trucks stay off it. The only thing we don't like about Sanford is that several car rental companies are off-site which can be a pain.
