I've been looking at some of the CS offerings from DHS. Can anyone tell me what is in the sandwiches at Starring Rolls? Theres a turkey and a ham sandwich, but not very many other details. If I could get that, AND one of the cupcakes as a dessert (probably to go) that might be a tasty option! Thanks in advance!

BTW: I'm one of the minority who kinda likes Pizza Planet. No clue why, just do!

I love the sandwiches at Starring Rolls. They are wedges of a huge sandwich with lots of meat and gormet type sauces and cheese. I think I had the ham and it had pesto, roasted red peppers, some kind of fresh cheese, maybe buffalo mozarella...can't remember for sure. Anyway, it was GOOD, and the cupcakes are To. Die. For. I had peanut butter/chocolate. This is a great option for lunch at DHS.

We LOVED Starring Rolls for lunch. DH and I both got the turkey - it had pesto, roasted red peppers and fresh mozzarella and was really piled high with turkey. Really delicious. The meal also included a choice of fruit (I think) or chips, drink and dessert - I picked the Butterfinger cupcake, which I had to take with me because the sandwich was so big. It was decadent!

Don't worry, I'm one of that minority too :) Can't wait to go there in January!

DH's favorite food in the world is sandwiches... So Staring Rolls was one of his most favorite CS. Here are some pictures of the food...including the infamous cupcake!

This is the turkey - I want to say it has some sort of white cheese, sliced pretty thick with some sort of mayo-like condiment underneath it (perhaps something like a pesto mayo?) It also has shredded iceburg lettuce

Here is the ham sandwich. The lettuce on here is more like arugula. I don't remember what type of sauce is on this sandwich.

And here is the delicious cupcake. Even later I wasn't able to finish it!

Oh, I loooove that those cupcakes. I'm a big eater, have gone in there starving, and still can't finish that Butterfinger cupcake. They are sooo rich! I tried to eat a whole one by myself last May. No way! I had to toss half of it. This past Oct. my husband and I split one and we still had to throw some away.:sad1: I'm not even a cupcake fan, but love the butterfinger one at Starring Rolls.

There is only outdoor seating.

The ham sandwich has a mustard type sauce.

Oh wow. Im totally sold on this place!

The amount of meat on the sandwich looks awesome and helloooooo cupcake!

Thanks so much for the pictures :)

Thanks for the replies! Thanks especially to hurleysweety for the pics! Looks like I have a new place to try at DHS!

Oh, no. Is it possible to get the sandwiches at Starring Rolls WITHOUT the pesto/mustard/whatever dressing????

the sandwiches at starring rolls are great and it's a great deal on the dining plan for cs, 1 giant wedge sammy, 1 bag of chips , a drink and a dessert, and everything is giant and perfect for sharing

No, they are pre-made next door.

I personally am not a fan of these sandwiches. It's not technically a good sandwich. The meat to bread to cheese to sauce ratio is horrible. It's just a bunch of meat.

You can't get the sandwiches without the sauce, but it's only a thin layer. If you have two people, one who will eat the sauce (mustard on the ham is what we had), you can split them in half (top to bottom) and swap halves (if that makes any sense!). Otherwise, you could just throw away half the bread and a tiny amount of the meat with the sauce, and still have a good amount to eat! Did it with my son last trip and plan to with DH this trip since neither of them will eat mustard or similar but we definitely want to eat here. (I'm a HUGE fan of the white chocolate cupcake!).

This is what I got with 2 QS credits from my DDP: a ham sandwich and a turkey sandwich, a bag of chips and a banana, a lemonade and an iced coffee and a tiramisu and a cupcake for dessert.

Not bad at all!

Another vote for loving Starring Rolls! Sandwiches are huge, easily enough to share. I was stuffed after eating here.

And another vote for loving Pizza Planet. I love me some pizza, though, I don't think I would notice if a pizza was "bad".

I love Starring Rolls. My mom and I shared a sandwhich there last May and it was awesome! We did each get our own cupcake however ! She had the white chocolate and I had the butterfinger. She somehow managed to finish hers,I only could eat like a 3rd of mine before I was ready to bust!
