Am I correct in assuming you cannot substitue what is on the sandwich because they are all premade?

If so, does anyone know exactly what is on both the Black forest ham sandwich and the Turkey Foccaia sandwich?

Its just we have fussy eaters in our group and I hoped we could eat here :(

TIA :goodvibes

I'm pretty sure as with just about everything at WDW, you can have your sandwich made to order. They will always make something fresh for dietary/allergy needs.

I was under the assumption that the sandwiches came from HBD, so they were premade as a large sandwich and then cut into portions, so couldnt be premade or adjusted? now im even more confused :confused3

Although if they would make something specific that would please everyone in my party :goodvibes

I'm pretty sure the sandwiches are premade and prewrapped. My plan is to have our picky eater take off unwanted items (if there's a tomato or lettuce) and just eat the rest of the sandwich.

We had the sandwiches in May and enjoyed them. They are one big round sandwich (similar to what I think a muffalatta would be) and they are cut into triangles. They are not wrapped or packaged at all. I am not sure if they could adjust this for you, but it doesn't hurt to ask. They may have to go over and get you something. (For example, I am almost certain the turkey foccacia sandwich had tomatoes and mayonaise which are two items I think many people could be allergic to or simply don't care for)

I can't recall any letuice/tomato on the ham one just alot of ham. Think it may have had some mustard, but it was very mild.

DD 3 at the time happily ate some and she doesn't 'do' spicy or sauces.

Sorry, this is NOT correct (well, many places with a kitchen will specially prepare an item for dietary issues but not at Starring Rolls.) I have heard people ask if they can get a sandwich "without the sauce" or on a different type of bread...the answer is always No. They do not have cooks there at Starring Rolls to prepare anything fresh: they will send you elsewhere if you need something fresh or made differently. They do not make sandwiches at Starring Rolls, and are not set up to take or make special orders, just an FYI. Basically they just sell the already-made sandwiches.

Here's a picture of the ham sandwich, it's Black forest ham sandwich, sea salt chips, tirimisu dessert. The ham sandwich has spinach-type lettuce & swiss cheese on it, believe it was a slighty spicy mustard as the dressing.

Here’s the turkey version…there is turkey, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. The dressing was kind of like creamy Italian salad dressing, not too oily, though.

Yes, all sandwiches are premade at Starring Rolls. They are huge! They used to have a vegie pita, but have done away with it and only had a vegie sushi, which I got (not bad, but they needa vegie only sandwich too)

I guess if you have a picky eater you could try to scrape stuff off, but I know some picky people won't have that if there's vegie residue:)

What we did is I got stuff from Starring Rolls and brought it down to the Rosies' are by Rockin and Tower so the picky people could get pizza/ribs/burgers or whatnot from the stations there.

Thanks everyone :goodvibes

Does anyone know if this is the case at Earl of Sandwich too? Or can I customise a sandiwch there?

:)

At EoS sandwiches are made to order. You can see the kitchen in front of you as you go through the line - I'd sure you can place a special order there.

Hi,

I was able to 'customise' a salad at EoS last time I was there. So you be able to change a sandwich as well.

I always have my EoS without cheese, no problem. There's lots of reports of people having theirs without cranberries etc etc so you should be able to 'customise' your order with no hassle :goodvibes

Was the mustard/dressing already on the sandwich or did it include the packet to put it on seperately? TIA

SR - The ham sandwich came with a seeded brown mustard on it and the greens were watercress which has a bit of a peppery bite to it. We had to take it off for the kids. :)

I am pretty sure the sandwiches are Earl of Sandwich are made to order, so you should be able to customize anything there. I think everybody else has cleared up any confusing regarding the sandwiches at Starring Rolls.

Earl of Sandwich sandwiches are made to order. Thats why they give you a buzzer while they make it (at least they do in the two non disney ones Ive been to and read they do at WDW)
And I always ordered the original with ranch instead of horseradish and never had an issue. But I must say the soup at EoS is soo good especially the tomato

Everytime I go to the Earl of Sandwich I always order The All American, however I also tell them not to put on the Cranberries and that's never been a problem.

I really wanted to try the turkey sandwich, but mayo makes me gag. I guess I'll have to pass on this one.
