DAY 7 ~ REST, Part 2, The Sequel
I requested a 9:30am Mickey wake up call, but we all woke up at 7:30am. DD watched TV while DH took a shower, DS and I went to get coffee at Pepper Market. It was a Character Caravan day, so I thought DS would like the characters while DD rested. BUT! JESSIE WAS THERE! I got coffee, went back to the room and told DD to get dressed for a SURPRISE! She was totally SURPRISED AND THRILLED! Minnie, Hook, Mr. Smee were there too! DD loves Jessie and DS adores Hook and Smee, it was a great start to a quiet day! As we walked back to the room, we chatted about all the Mickey phone calls ~ we let DD answer the phone daily. We chatted that Mickey didn't call this morning, BUT as soon as we got into the room the PHONE RANG! YEPPERS! It was MICKEY ~ must be 9:30am! We slooooowly got ready for BB. I stayed with the babe in the Tike area, while dh and dd hit the slides. Around 1pm we met up and went back to CSR for lunch in the room. DS slept and DH and DD went back to BB. When everyone was up and back at CSR it was dinner time. We decided to have dinner at the food court at AKL and do a little resort hopping. We drove over to PO and OKW to take a peek at the buildings. I wish I spent more time at PO because I'd like to consider it next time. However, I found it was a bit far from the parks ~ is this true or am I imagining that. We drove past Disney Inst. Villa's too. Off to AKL for dinner at Mara. What a nice food court! We looked over all Deb Wills menus and knew I would try the African salad ~ it was TASTY! BIG SURPRISE! Toy Story 2 was playing and that's DS's FAV movie, so we got a loooooooooooong wonderful quiet dinner! We took a stroll to the overlook and saw the animals. We checked out the lobby too. Really liked AKL!!!!! It started to rain a bit so we headed to the car but I wasn't ready to call it quits ~ it was about 7pm. So we headed to WL for dessert. By that time it was pouring rain and HARD! The only rain we had was then, for about one hour and then it was over and beautiful again. We had yummy desserts at the WL food court. Really liked that too. Funny, I think WL, AKL and GF have exactly the same atriums with different colouring. We headed back to CSR about 8:30pm and called it a night! Another great day in WDW! Only 3 more park days to go!!!!! Oh yeah, I did laundry at CSR on the Wed night without any fuss, easier at CSR than last year at CBR. Sandra
