Sandcastle Club - recent reviews?

We are thinking of signing our children up for an evening at the Sandcastle Club and was wondering if anyone had any recent reviews or experiences to share.

Also, how far of a walk is it from Epcot to the Sandcastle Club realistically? Thanks!

My DS8 was just there the last weekend of August and loved it as usual (he's been about 5 times). It was pirate's night the evening he went and Capt. Hook came to visit. They also did a science experiment (I believe they made a volcano explode). They sometimes do cooking classes as well. Dinner and a snack is served. He also watched a movie and played some video games. Sandcastle Club is one of favorite things to do in WDW!

From the International Gateway entrance/exit, it's about a 5 minute walk.

We stayed at the Beach Club this summer and used it for our kids age 7 and 8, then we walked over to Epcot and enjoyed a night out. The walk is about 5-10 minutes--super easy! When we went to pick our kids up, after Illuminations, they were having such a great time they did not want to leave! My husband and I went for a swim, and then swung back and picked them up. They absolutely loved it. They had a pirate party with Captain Hook, dinner, science experiments, etc. I recommend!
