Going in early november, I will pack sneakers.

But hoping for warmer temperatures I will also buy a sandal. I'm in between Keen (http://www.brms.com/keen-newport-h2-mens or similar) and Teva (http://www.brms.com/teva-terra-fi-3-mens or similar).

1) Do I need to break this kind of shoes?

2) Do they work well without socks? (blisters and smell)

3) Are they suitable for someone with particularly smelly feet?

4) Do they dry fast? (most likely will get wet due water fountains, watery attractions, ...)

5) Which one you recommend?

I picked up a pair of Keen Newport H2 and I love them! From the first time I put them on they have been really comfortable, and I am looking forward to taking them on our next trip with me! And I will bring tennis along as well.

I have KEEN Whisper Sandals, they felt much lighter compared to the other KEEN sandals. I wore them for a few days straight all day, to a zoo, lots of walking and had NO issues. They do dry fast and they are antimicrobial so smell shouldn't be an issue. I love them! I plan on getting some for my kids closer to our trip (hard telling what size they'll be in or I'd get them now).

I've had similar tevas for past trips and just bought a pair of the Keen Whisper. I'm definitely liking the Keens more than the Tevas so far.

Definitely check out shoebuy.com when you do decide. They send out discount emails pretty often (15-20% off) plus have free shipping and returns.

I like my Keen Newport as well. But you need to remember:

For a better experience on Soaring, GO BAREFOOT! Try it just once, and feel the difference. :thumbsup2

You can't go wrong with the Teva's. I have a few pairs and one pair is similiar to the sandals that you have pictured.

We went to WDW for 6 straight years,(2 of the trips were 9-days), and I wore Teva's exclusively.

I had no problems. Feet were comfy, even when they got wet.

We're headed back in a couple of weeks and that's all I'll wear on this trip too.

Oops! In my earlier reply, I realize that I did not answer your questions. I can only vouch for the Teva's, as I have no experience with the Newports.

1)No

2)Yes

3)Yes

4)Yes...that's one of the reasons that I bought them.

5) Guess ;)

I have 4 pairs of Teva's, (no, I don't work for them!), and one of the pairs that I'm taking for upcoming trip, I bought in '97.

Actually, on my last trip to WDW I wore Crocs (beach style) and the strap that goes around your heel wore a blister on my feet the first day. So I switched to Tevas (dozer) that are sneaker/sandal style. I was able to wear even with a blister and they are lightweight, dry quickly and airy. I love them and plan to wear them on my trip next summer.
