Sandals Royal Bahamian Excursion

We're crusing on the November 6, 2005 Wonder, and we're looking for something fun to do in Nassau. Has anyone ever done an "excursion" or day trip to the Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort at Cable Beach, or does anyone know if something like that is even offered by the resort?

Any ideas? My DH and I are going for our 30th anniversary, and we're looking for something fun to do while in Nassau that wouldn't involve being bombarded by hawkers.

I don't know that Sandals would even allow you on their hotel property. I went on my honeymoon and 2 other trips to Sandals Negril, and they were pretty strict about getting onto the property. You could give it a try, but I wouldn't count on it.

Now, I did stay at the Radisson Cable Beach when my best friend from HS got married there. It seemed like they were pretty easy going about being on property, but that was a few years ago.

We stayed at this hotel back in 2000 for our honeymoon and they do not allow non guests onto the site. They have the usual security at the gates where you have to give them your details before they let you in - sorry.

We took a taxi and spent the morning there on our Nassau day. The beach is okay and the pool area is very nice. Any food or drink is a little pricy, so we went back to the ship to eat lunch around 1:00.

Thank you all for your replies. A coworker of mine was on an RCCL cruise last September, and she told me her tablemates went to Sandals during their Nassau stop--maybe they had reservations.

Oh well, if we're lucky, Atlantis will have another $99/night special again for our cruise dates!
