Sand ceremony question

We are doing our vow renewal on the Disney Wonder in September. I really liked the idea of a sand ceremony, but I am wondering if that is possible to do on the ship? Can you bring the sand home? Being I can't bring home my flowers or cake after the cruise, I don't want to do something like that and then not be able to take it home. Does anyone know???

I don't know why you cuoldn't. I brought mine home from WDW by plane. My WP stuffed the top of the vase snuggly with tissue paper and the sand didn't budge ! We switch resorts halfway through our two week stay and flew home. Ours made it home without any problems.

I would definately check with the people on the ship. I am not sure what the customs rules are for bringing sand off of the ship.
