Sand at VWL? Can u use other pools?

Is there a sand beach or play area for kids with sand in it at VWL?

How doe the pools at VWL compare with other pools?

What is the pool usage at other resorts? Aren't there times when it is restricted?

There is a huge sandy beach located between the WL and the VWL and close to the rental boat docks. There are many lounge chairs for your use as well as a large sandy beach area for the kids to use. If my memory serves me correct, there is no swimming in the lake itself but either of the pools at the WL or VWL are just adjacent to the beach area. It's also a great spot to watch the electric parade at night. The pool at the VWL is small and nothing fancy while the pool at the WL is larger and has a slide. While the WL pool is very nice it doesn't hold a candle to Stormalong Bay at the YC/BC...but then again...what pool does.

There is a sandy beach area at WL/VWL. You can also watch the Electrical Water pageant nightly from the beach area.

DVC Members staying on points are allowed to pool hop during nonholiday/nonpeak times (if the resort pools are not at capacity) to every Disney resort except Yacht/Beach Club's Storm a Long Bay or Animal Kingdom Lodge's pool.

The hidden springs pool is the quiet pool at the VWL. The Silver Creek pool is the feature pool at the Wilderness Lodge and it has a slide.

I love the Hidden Springs pool (although I don't swim much).
I love the "hot spring bubbles" in the pool. The theme here just never ends.
