Hi there,
Was wondering what the best kind of glue is to fix sand to a mirror. I'm doing a little art project where I take the sand I collected on my road trip (grand canyon, Zion, Arches, etc) and glue it to frames that I bought at IKEA

hmmm, E6000 is good glue but it could be messy and it stinks so you would need to do it outside. Spread it with a big popsicle stick.

Or Allene's tacky glue is good and it dries clear. You can spread that with a popsicle stick too.

I've never tried to glue sand before, I would probably try Allene's first on a scrap piece of something with regular sand, not your special sand.

The best liquid glue would be Diamond Glaze. This stuff is great! It comes out milky but dries clear. You will need to spead it out as it will dry the way you place it--for example you can make your own page pebbles by leaving it in a glob. So spread it out and then apply the sand. If you let it dry a little you can then press your sand or jewels--etc. into the glue. I made this cute treasure chest once and had flakes looking like gold, and little jewels that I used. It worked great and will stand the test of time.

I don't know how thick you want it, but I have an awesome frame that looks like something was added to the sand and then applied to the frame. Love it.

I did something like this, but with paper. I used a spray glue that I bought from Michaels. Worked great.
