I ate lunch at Sanaa yesterday, and it was pretty busy. I even requested a window table, and was told I'd have to wait nearly an hour. Sure enough, when I was seated, the restaurant was about half full, including every window table. I asked the server about the busy-ness, was it just an unusually busy day? She said that over the last year or so, business has really picked up. Not impossible to get a seat for lunch without an ADR (I only made mine the night beforehand), but perhaps getting advisable to make an ADR.

I was so worried about this reservation a few years ago, & it turned out to be our favorite! Headed back next month!

That secret hasn't been a secret for a couple of years now. On our last couple of dinners there the place was still packed late in the evening.

I love Sanaa & am sad to be missing it on our upcoming trip. I can't wait to go back in May! I've had dreams about that bread service!

Booked it for our upcoming trip. It's a must-do late lunch for us. We love that place!

Sanaa is one of the few places I consider traveling to for a meal.

That view of the animals is priceless - even when not seated at the window.

Never eaten here. Just wondering what entrees everyone has tried.

Quite a few of them. I've never had anything I wouldn't recommend.
And then sometimes we just have share some appetizers instead of ordering entrees. :goodvibes

Agree. Haven't had anything we disliked. In particular, most rave about the tandoori chicken, the butter chicken, anything with lamb, the lunch-time gravy dishes (you can choose two, I believe), and best of all, the bread service. It's a meal unto itself. Very nice wine list, to boot.

Going out of our way just to eat there on arrival day. We LOVE it. Especially the bread service. Will probably be a must do on trips from here on out...

This is one place my ridiculously picky (and annoyingly so) 13 yo DS requests each trip b/c everything he's eaten there has been incredible. That goes for everything the rest of us have eaten, also! Can't say enough about the bread service; I'm partial to the butter chicken and pretty much every dessert on the menu :)
