Sanaa - how long to get there

I'm very interested in trying this, but I'm worried about the travel time. We will be at Universal for the day (park closes at 7) and are thinking of dinner around 8:30. Right now, we are booked at Morimoto, but reviews don't seem that great. Now, I'm thinking of changing it to Artist Point or Sanaa. Sanaa's menu looks better to us, but I'm worried about having time to go back to AofA after Universal to freshen up and get there in time.

And, we don't have a car....is our best option to Uber there? Would it be easier to just go to Artist Point?

Thanks!

Morimoto's is FANTASTIC, so I wouldn't hesitate to keep the reservation. However, Sanaa is one I have to do every trip too, so it's really a matter of what you want to eat. Are you not thinking of going back AoA before Morimoto's? I believe AoA is actually closer to Sanaa than it is to Disney Springs....

Edit: I think I'm getting confused. How are you getting to Universal...a charter bus, or Uber? Is it taking off from your AoA?

Really??? I guess I don't remember where Disney Springs is...I'll have to look at the map. Animal Kingdom Lodge area seems so far away...
They both sound really good.....

Actually, looking at it, it's probably a 6 of one, half dozen of the other kind of thing in terms of straight distance... but Sanaa is a straight shoot down Osceola from the resort, vs having to go around all small side streets and around and above the Disney Springs resorts to get to the bus depot or parking for Disney Springs. The drive definitely takes longer.

I went and pulled up the map and yes...it doesn't look too bad. Maybe I was thinking where Mickey's BBQ or something. For some reason, I thought it was hard to get to. I guess we would really just Uber either way. Thanks! Now....just have to decide which one...

If you're concerned about time, then use Uber.
From AoA, Sanaa is a 10 minute drive (4miles). Morimoto is a 13 minute drive (3 miles), plus walking time from the drop off point. Artist Point is furthest away at WL, a 14 minute drive (5.7miles).

Distances and travel times from Google maps.

AKL at it's furthest point (think Epcot/HWS) is about a 15, 20 drive. If you Uber, allow 30 min. Sanaa is SOOOO worth it and if you are going to dinner, be sure to check out night vision of the animals at the resort. It's better at Jambo house than Kidani as Kidani is more light up.

What great information!!! Thanks so much for doing that!!!

OK....just switched reservation to Sanaa. We will Uber there. I'm super excited to try this...and now I have another TS dining credit since I just went from a Signature 2 TS to 1TS! Thanks for the help.
