Sanaa for picky eaters

i am just dying to try this restaurant, but my two sons (10 & 13) are such picky eaters. They pretty much eat hamburgers, pizza, and fried chicken tenders. (I know, I know... Bad Mom). Is there anything there that might appeal to such picky eaters? TIA - Amye

Take them to The Mara at Jambo House beforehand?

I have not really seen anything American on the menus at Sanaa. Sorry!

If you go for lunch (better animal viewing anyway) they have the best burger I've had on property on the menu there.
They will also work with you on the picky eater side. They also have cheese pizza and a kids burger on the menu. The food is much higher quality than the Mara. I like the Mara but it's no comparison.

My 11 year old is also picky. I plan to feed him nuggets from The Mara right before we go to Sanaa. He can sit on his phone while the rest of us enjoy our lunch.

As a back up plan, you can order to go from the lounge. I was originally considering this.

There are plain foods on the kids menu. I'm assuming that anyone can order them? At least that's what I'm hoping because I have a picky eater in my family and I'm hoping they'll let him order a kids meal cheeseburger even though he's an adult.

Yes. You can order from the kids menu for an adult anywhere as long as it's not a buffet, AYCTE, or prix fixe.

The burger at Sanaa is outstanding. Even the kids burger, which my daughter ordered, was delicious. I’d say have them order off the kids menu.

Also, my 11 year old is extraordinarily picky and eats mostly burgers and Mac and cheese, but she really likes the bread service at Sanaa. She also surprised me last week at Sanaa when she ate most of the salad sampler I ordered.

I can't remember what my 2 picky eaters ordered off the kids menu, but one of the two just listed it in her super short list of favorite Disney restaurants! (The plain Naan was a huge hit.) My pickies are 12 and 5. One primarily orders burgers and fries at WDW and the other cheese pizza and chicken tenders, so you should be fine!

My son will now eat most anything, but when he was younger and a bit pickier he LOVED the cheese pizza off the kids menu at Sanaa. It’s made on naan so it’s not totally pedestrian, but is still very “plain” as far as picky eaters go. Hopefully that will work for you!

Would they eat the bread service? It’s basically flatbread and different types of hummus and chutney. Our picky eater ate all the less spicy bread and dips. We enjoyed the rest.

My picky 4 year old loved the chicken noodle soup on the kid’s menu and fought her brother for some of the bread in the bread service.

I was incredibly nervous to take DD to Sanaa when she was 13, but she loved it! They have a kids pizza that's on Naan bread and she couldn't finish it and actually asked to take it back to the hotel and eat later (she did). She couldn't finish the pizza because she filled up on the bread service! She absolutely loved it. And now that's all she'll even order there, but it's still one of her favorite restaurants.
