We will be staying a Kidani in April. Can you go to Sanaa and just sit at the bar for a few drinks if your are not dining??? The grown-ups want to go out for a few drinks one night. We all have pre-teen /early teenager so we dont want to leave the resort, but dont mind leaving them in the room for a little while.

I did it! Well, actually I had the bread service also, but I didn't pay for it. But that was my dinner-the bread service and a drink. Great solo dinner!

I actually went for drinks after the restaurant had closed. Even took my drink and sat in the rocking chairs by the fire pit.:thumbsup2

Woo Hoo!! I'll be "scheduling" this in for myself on my spring break trip!!

I'm thinking this won't work for you on this trip, but I seriously recommend doing just drinks at the bar outside of Ohana at the Polynesian. While you are there, I further recommend a drink in a pineapple....AWESOME!!

I find that bar to be too noisy with the 'Ohana traffic.

They have a nice bar area, but you don't really get a good view of the animals from there.

Me and my sister did this in October. We also had the bread service and enjoyed it. There are a few tables in the bar area to sit at and a few couches also.:thumbsup2

Went to Sanaa for solo dinner 2 weeks ago and saw several people at the bar enjoying drinks or waiting for their table.

Enjoy!

I did this also and had the bread service. They also had a couple of African beers. I tried one and then realized it was made by Anhueser-Busch. Oh well, I had a nice time anyway and will do it again.

Have Fun! :thumbsup2

DH and I did. We like the small lounge downstairs by Sanaa. It was fairly quiet when we went, even though the restaurant seemed full.

We shared the bread service, had a couple of drinks, then shared a dessert sampler. All were excellent.
I recommend the Mango Margarita!

Thanks All....its good to know we can go down and unwind

Fiance and I have done this several times....Tell Kat & Bill that Jen & Scott from Boston say hi;)

We had one of the best nights of the entire trip at that bar last December!

I find Sanaa makes much better mojitos than Victoria Falls at Jambo House.

Thanks for the pics...we stayed at Kidani last Nov, but we only walked past Saana so didnt peak inside...........ONLY 72 MORE days until we are back at my happy place !!!!!!!
