Sanaa for dinner?

I have been practicing making reservations for my Thanksgiving trip, and the only reservation I'm having trouble finding is a dinner reservation at Sanaa. I can find lunch reservations but zero reservations for any day or any party size after they reopen for dinner. Is it really that sought after? Does anyone in here have dinner time reservations?

It is that sought after and hard to get. When I first tried to get a resvs - I got like 8:30, I used Mouse Dining and such to try to find a better time. Finally got a 5:30 - which is way closer to what time we'll want to eat - so I took it. :)

Not normally but with the parks closing earlier and AKV not having all the food options open its just harder now.

Personally, I would prefer a lunch reservation. During the day you can see the animals roaming around, but at night it would be too dark to see much of anything, especially with the interior lights being reflected back in the windows. If you are planning an Animal Kingdom day, consider taking some time to make this your lunch reservation. Who knows what Thanksgiving will be like this year, but if it's still super busy during the day it might be nice to take a break from the parks right as line wait times hit their peak. I've heard mixed things about the buses, but generally they go between AKL and AK often, the the trip itself is really short. m

I got Sanaa for our Oct trip but only after a bit of trying. Prior to this it was never had to get a res, but with so few options I am sure it moved up farther on people's lists..

We loved Sanaa. the only problem is having enough room for the main course after the bread course.
That is a 1st world problem.
Also love the lounge at Sanaa and Jambo house. Can't go wrong at either.

Another vote for lunch. While the food is good at any time of day, the big draw for me is being able to look out on the savanna. I've had dinners after dark there and it just wasn't as much fun. We've had mixed experiences with buses, but you could always Uber or Lyft.

With the parks closing so early and Disney Springs being a maskless dystopia, on our recent trip we did a TON of dining at disney resorts on our last trip--much more than usual. I expect others are thinking the same and it is contributing to Sanaa's popularity. On top of that, the main quick service at AKL, the Mara, remains closed (as do TS restaurants Boma and Jiko), so dining for folks staying at the dvc portion of AKL are pretty limited right now.
