Hi,

My sis and her family want to eat at AKL as much for the animals as the food. With that in mind would you recommend Sanaa for an evening meal? I wonder how eating after dark changes the view of the savannah and whether any animals remain in the evening. I know that they could go to the outdoor viewing areas around sunset prior to eating at Boma, which is where they currently have their ADR.

It would be difficult to impossible to see animals on the savannah from inside the restaurant after nightfall, as the inside light reflects off the windows and the animals are blocked from approaching the windows. (There are a couple of birds who know how to get around the "fence" and get up to the windows, but birds are probably not all that active at night.)

Great to know. Thanks so much. That's what I assumed, but I have heard great things about the view.

it is a great view...as long as it isn't dark outside. Once it gets dark you can't really see anything.
