San Vicente Golf Resort

Hi

Has anyone stayed at San Vicente Golf Resort in Ramona ? Any reviews/advice/info would be very helpful.

I actually grew up down the street from there the hotel itself is not bad, its the best in Ramona, but still not great. When we go and visit we actually stay at Barona on the reservation, its about 15 minutes from San Vicente very clean, very nice, plus connected to the casino which has a nice buffet.

as far as food there its not the best quality food, I would consider going to the local restaurants around. Any of the Mexican food places are good, at the top of Main Street (towards Julian) is a good Italian place (which I cannot remember the name), in the country estates there are 2 decent sit down quick restaurants that are connected to the village store (on San Vicente before Gun Stage)

Thanks for your reply, is the Barona ok for travelling into San Diego to go to the zoo etc?? Could you give me an idea on how far away and driving time please.

Yea we used to do it all the time for field trips. Its about 40 minutes to the zoo, Sea World, La Jolla, Hotel Del Coronado, and pretty much anything downtown also its about 40 minutes to the Safari Park. Legoland is about an hour away in Carlsbad. We did that one on field trips to for a day.
