San Fran Parking?

Can anyone help me. I am used to NYC where will parking is expensive there are lots of internet coupons. Does anyone know a deal near the Union Square area or if I boy a SF entertainment book what coupons there might be?

I remember we parked in a parking lot behind Joe's Crab Shack near Pier 39 for like $6 all day,from there we took trolleys and streetcars to other places in the city like Union Square.I found SF to be easier and cheaper to get parking and get around than when we visited NY.

Union Sq can run up into the $30 range per day. The farther away you park the cheaper. Just be careful and if your not in a structure make sure there is a person on site at all times. There are some bad areas to be walking around day or night. Market/ 5th there is a parking structure and I paid $15 for the day. It also depends on the day of the week. Some charge less on weekends or if you get there before a certain time.
