We are going to San Diego in Oct . We have found a rental in Ocean Beach and I was wondering if anyone can tell me about this town. It will be with my husband, three daughters, and father-in-law. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

All i know about Ocean Beach is that it is a small beach town, way down south. It's about 10 min away from seaworld and it has one of the longest piers in the world. It also very popular with surfers!

We did San Diego with our 2 DDs several years ago and it was one of the best trips we ever took. We did Sea World, walked on the beach (too cold for swimming when we were there), Disney Land, the Zoo, La Jolla (fun, cute town), and I forget the name of the big hotel and beach area, but we did that. Loved watching the sea lions on the beach too. Very fun, but relaxing place to go. Have fun.

We actually just returned from there. It is a quiet beach town and is very nice. Possibly the large hotel referred to is the Del Coronado, which is on Coronado Island, also a short drive.
