We have memberships, but have already used our discount admissions, and now more family is coming to town and they want to go to the zoo. I'd love to find them a deal.

A quick google search didn't turn up much, but I haven't had a chance to do in depth digging, thought I'd ask here to see if anyone happens to know of any decent discounts... ok, any discounts at all. ;)

There's not much. Perhaps only the multi-attraction tickets like CityPASS or Go San Diego.

The only discount I can find is 10% off for AAA members.

AAA Members show your valid membership card at any ticket window year round to save 10 percent on the 1-Day Pass at the World-Famous San Diego Zoo or San Diego Zoo Safari Park (limit six people per card).

Thanks, I didn't even think to check AAA.

I found the same $5 off deal at Ares Travel.

It looks like that may be the best we can do right now. I shouldn't complain, it's better than nothing. I liked it better when we got more free admissions with our membership though. ;)

My family is a member of the Oakland Zoo. All we got with our membership (on top of admission for ourselves and two adult guests) is one guess pass, eight ride tickets, and a coupon good for "zoo key". However, our zoo also participates in the Association of Zoos and Aquariums reciprocal discount program. My understanding is that the San Diego Zoo is an AZA member, but they don't participate because of their popularity. A lot of high-priced attractions that are members don't - especially for-profits like SeaWorld.

Look at the official San Diego visitors website - Sandiego.org full site under the attraction heading beneath large pictures they have a seven dollar discount with $2 convenience fee.
