Dh and I are considering going to the SD comicon next year and then up to DL for 4 or 5 days.

The Con is July 26-29. How is park attendance at that time, and is it really really hot?

Have any of you gone to the con?

What else do I need to know? We've never been to Cal.
Thanks!!

Park attendance will be busy but do not let that hold you back. We have been in late July and early August several times and have always had a great time. Do some research about how to manage crowds - it can be done. Also consider using RideMax - www.ridemax.com.

It may or may not be hot. In early August 2005 we spent four days at DLR and the weather was great - low to mid-80's. In recent weeks in Anaheim it has ranged from 106 degrees (yes I typed that correctly - and it is highly unusual) to mid-80's. I also would not let the weather hold you back. It is very manageable, IMO, especially if you stay at a nearby hotel. See this link for recent Anaheim weather:

If you are familiar with WDW you can get a lot of useful info from my recent post here:

"A DLR Guide for WDW Vets" http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1162599

Even if you have not been to WDW, there will still be a lot you can learn in the above link.

Thanks! I have been to WDW and I have actually read your post. Much appreciated!

Now if only there were a board like this for navigating the Comic-con, I'd be all set!

My brother has gone to Comic-Con several times. He and his girlfriend went last Friday for Star Wars day. Do you have specific questions that I can ask him?

Every time I turned on the news the last few days, the broadcast was from Comic-Con. What I saw was lots of people dressed up, some great displays and lots of celebrities. And everyone looked like they were having a good time.
