San Angel question

What is the food like at San Angel? Is it more Tex-Mex or authentic Mexican. I lived in Texas for more than 40 years and know the difference between each. I have an appreciation for both. I just want to know what to expect when we go there.

We love San Angel because the food (to us!) is very authentic. Always like trying new dishes there that I can't get at my run-of-the-mill mexican places around us. Mostly, we go there for the atmosphere!

San Angel Inn is certainly not your typical Americanized Tex-Mex restaurant. This is the reason why I really do love SAI and I believe why there are so many who don't like SAI. The atmosphere is also excellent as well. For me the only downside is the service in my past experiences, were average and nothing that really stands out.

You won't find much in the way of traditional Gringo-Mex such as taco's, burritos, chimichangas etc. I find it fairly authentic and a must-do every trip.

Remember that there are *two* San Angel restaurants at Epcot.
The Inn is more reflective of northern Mexico, while the Hacienda is in the style of central/southern Mexico.
Neither is like your typical American chain restaurant.

Our fist time going this trip.....we always for about it....until we go to ride the Three Caballeros...then we are always upset we forgot about it....not this time!!!!!

San Angel INN is near the ride and water , its the one "outside".

San Angel Inn has amazing Mexican food.... different than the Americanized food that is served in Virginia. I'm guessing it's authentic? We love it!!
