We just booked yesterday for this very day. Been there several times, but never on May 5th. Does anyone know if San Angel or the Mexico pavilion does anything special on this day?

A couple people have been asking that over at wdwmagic. We'll be there on May 5th, and we haven't decided whether or not to go to Epcot. In addition to Cinco de Mayo, May 5th is also Chirlren's Day in Japan.

The responses I've seen so far range from "nothing happens" to "just a couple small games/crafts for kids". We may decide to skip Epcot on that day if it fits in our schedule better, but I certainly am curious.

I have been to the Mexico pavilion on Cinco de Mayo. I didn't notice anything special, just that Cantina de San Angel was just really busy.

1) Nothing special on Cinco de Mayo.
2) It really isn't a big Mexican holiday (it's bigger in the USA!).
3) Except in Puebla, Puebla, where the battle was fought.
