It's not on the menu, but has anyone ever tried ordering a cheese enchilada at San Angel? Surely they could substitute that for the chicken enchiladas in some of the selections, I hope? I'd really like to try this place, but cheese enchiladas and chicken fajitas are about the extent of my DW's Mexican food (well, actually Tex-Mex) liking.

TIA!

Jim

My BIL tried ordering fajitas there (similarly limited Tex-Mex experience) and the waiter just kind of shook his head, LOL. I'm guessing you'd get the same reaction to enchiladas, but it never hurts to ask.

The food there really isn't all that adventurous, at least as far as Tex-Mex/Mexican fare goes.

The nachos appetizer is quite tasty, and we always order the queso fundido appetizer also. It was recommended by the waiter on our first trip to San Angel, and they'll even show you how to eat it if you ask!

SAI does not really offer much Tex-Mex. I think that is why alot of people don't know what to think of the place. (The Tex-Mex they do have is kinda bad)

If you order for her, order him 2 appetizers and you can't go wrong.
the Sopa (Ithink) It's a chicken tortilla soup
and the Sope (I think) Its's a chicken tostada like item. IT has a green sauce on top put they can hold or put it on the side. Then it will be tostada, beans, chicken, cheese, let.

IN the soup the avacado and pepper are large and can be picked out. This really is good soup.

The Queso fundido is no longer offered, at least not the past 2 trips we made. It was my daughters absolute favorite thing in Epcot!! She is a very picky eater and we always loved having lunch there because we knew she would have something to enjoy. A friend of mine told me that when he inquired about it's removal he was told it had something to do with importing the cheese used. Not sure if there is any truth to that or not?? Sure wish they would bring it back. We will check the menus again on our upcoming trip in 2 weeks!!

I can tell you the cantina stand outside doesnt sub anything at all. I wanted a beef taco salad instead of chicken and they said no...I said but you have the beef right there, charge me the same or a bit extra but slap beef on the salad instead of chicken, how hard is that? He said no again. I pointed to the food trays behind him where one is labeled "SPECIAL ORDER" and asked him what that meant, he ignored me....
