I was thinking of making a ADR for the San Angel Inn in Mexico. It would be for a table for 2. I looked at the picture on this website and it seems as if the tables for two are along the wall meaning that one of us would be looking at the wall and they seem very close together. Has anyone had a table for two and can give me some advice. Thank you. :)

We had a table for two on my first visit to San Angel two years ago. We were seated against a "wall" per se. SO had a view of the sky scene, but if I looked up slightly I had the sights of the market. Although, I'm more concerned about the view of my food than how pretty the restaurant is :rotfl:

DD9 and I ate there two Fridays in a row earlier this year (school project on Mexico - good excuse to spend time in EPCOT and eat good food!)

We coincidently enough had the same table both times - it was not against the wall, it was on the outer edge of the tables in the center of the restaurant. Tables are close together, but from one who does not like people "in my space", I was okay with it.

It is a beautiful atmosphere, the margaritas "rock" and we enjoyed our food -

DH and I dined in Mexico December 2005. Our table for two was right on the railing by the water. DH and I sat across from each other so our view of the river was on my right and his left. However, our table was the last one on the railing right next to the kitchen. There was a very narrow walkway there. I did feel the excessive traffic took away from us enjoying the meal to the fullest. The food was good, however the only time we could actually see what we were eating is when the kitchen door was open and the light poured out into the dining area. It is very dark in there.

My bf and I snagged the last river-side table for two when we ate there last Sept. As we were waiting for the hostess we noticed the empty table and requested it just in time as another couple came in right behind us. It was very lovely and you can forget that you are actually indoors. We also enjoyed the food and although the waiter was a teensy bit slow, it did not affect our experience. We actually enjoyed not having to rush and being able to really enjoy our meal. I would suggest asking for a river-side table when you get there for your ressie. You may have to wait a little longer, but it is a lovely experience.

We always wait for a riverside table. It's so worth it. It's a great break to have a marguarita and some nachos in the middle of a hot afternoon. Looking forward to this in two weeks. Our ADR is for 2:00.

I think you will hear all kinds of opinions on this place (as you will with all restaurants at Disney! ;) ). DH and I really enjoy eating here. The food is good, and the atmosphere is excellent! We have sat at a table for 2 against the wall, and thought is was fine.

Also....makinorlando...what kind of drink was the tall white one??? Looks good!! :thumbsup2

We also really enjoyed eating there. The atmosphere was very nice and we liked the food. :)

Love dining there! DH and I have been seated at tables on several occasions that were against the wall. Never were either of us actually *facing* the wall. Always very pleasant! :teeth:
