I m new to the smartphone thing... My carrier doesn't have iPhones. It will bump my cell bill $30 month. Is the phone user friendly and worth the price increase?
Any input would be great :)

Personally, I love mine, but I'm an Android geek. However, I know many people who say they'll go back to Android after jumping to the iPhone...and vice versa. I'd say try it for a week or two (or whatever your carrier's trial limits - Sprint is 14 days, I think) and see how you like it.

Which Galaxy? I'm going to assume the Galaxy S3. If so, get it. I have a dozen friends and/or family members with iPhones. Each of them has had to take the phone in for some kind of repair within the first year of owning it. I have the Galaxy S2 and will be on year 2 of.the phone in a couple months. I love my phone. It does most of what iphone does, but costs less. I've dropped mine half a dozen times and it hasn't broken it to the point of needing replaced (ie broken screen)..just minor scratches.

The samsung galaxy 3 will be my next phone. I have tried both iphones and android phones, but I like android better.

The phone itself is pretty easy to use, but you may have to google how to do particular stuff if just pressing the buttons doesnt help you figure it out.

We got the galaxy 3s 3 weeks ago. We jumped from only being able to make calls and text to a full data plan and internet and app capability.

There has been a learning curve, but it's because we jumped from being so far "behind" technology wise to now having the latest/newest phone.

We have enjoyed having the phones and each day we are learning more and more about the various apps and capabilities of the phones. We enjoy the ease of checking email, etc. on the phone especially when we are not home. I have taken a few pictures with the phone and can easily post them to facebook if I want.

Worth $30 a month? We haven't gotten our new bill yet. :lmao:

We got them for me, DH and our 2 oldest kids and a few nights I have walked in to all of them on their phones playing games, apps, etc. and jokingly tell them to put their "crack" down. :rotfl2:

I have to say, the phones are big and I am getting used to the size of the phone.

My brother, who usually has the latest electronic gadget, came over Christmas and played with the phone. He doesn't have this one, yet-has iphones-but says this will be his next phone. He was showing me features that I had not yet discovered.

I love it. It is the first smart phone I feel I could travel with and not also need to bring my laptop. This my third smart phone and I now feel I am getting my moneys worth out of the data plan.
