Samsung Galaxy s4 vs iPhone 4

All 4 of my kids have iPhones. I had a Samsung when I was in Korea and LOVED it. I recently turned in my work blackberry (retiring) and choose the Samsung Note 3 as my new personal phone. LOVE LOVE LOVE the Note 3. Samsung Galaxy is the best phone on the market right now. Now, we will have to see what Apple comes out with next to try to out do them. Whatever phone you get, make sure to get the latest version, not an older version.

I'm an iPhone user, but even I think you shouldn't waste your time on an iPhone 4. It will be out of date soon. The S4 is a fantastic phone.

having an apple for several generations its a simple/stupid platform/ smart phone, with low memory, and bad camera compared to it competitors.

The camera quality is what annoys me most about apple products.

I'm over ready to try an Samsung 5 for couple of years.

One really nice thing I like about apple is the home screen lay out

All my smart phones have been android phones until my last upgrade, I changed to the Apple 5c and DH stayed with Android and went with Galaxy S4. I switched because after 6 months the android phones always started to give me issues. I was sick of it. Now I love my iphone. I have the same apps DH has including google maps (it is better than the apple version). We've had our new phones for almost 1 year. Mine has given me no issues. DH's phone has been acting up. I would send him a text and he won't get it till hours later or never at all. He gets failed messages all the time and has to keep resending and then I get multiple messages. He likes the bigger screen and that's one reason he won't switch, now I hate the bigger screen of his phone. I am petite and I want the phone to fit in my back pocket at times, especially when I don't have a purse and I am trying to do things with my little ones. Back pocket is quick and easy and my iphone fits perfectly, his doesn't fit, I tried once when I had to borrow his when mine was on the charger. Figure out what you like in each phone and see what trumps the other.

Came back to update the thread. Decision is made and we went with Samsung Galaxy 5s - stayed on the Verizon network. Phones were ordered and should arrive today. They are our first smartphones; looking forward to exploring all that they can do.
