Samsclub.com rental problem

Is anyone else experiencing problems with Sam'sclub.com??
It showed a rate of $8.00 a day for an economy car from National for 4 days in Nov. I know,... I know,... that's insane but I called and talked to a customer rep before I booked and she assured me if that was the price on the web, then that was the price you would get. After booking, I waited a few days and called National and they won't honor the booking. I've been calling Sam's Club for the past 5 days trying to get someone to give me a straight answer about whether or not they'll stand by their price and readjust what I owe National.

I could see if it was a some kind of typo on the website but they're still quoting the same rate. Wouldn't you think it would have been corrected by now if it was causing a problem?

Any suggestions???

If you have a confirmed reservation from Sam's club, National will honor it.
