Well, we are back from an amazing trip! Evie had an absolute ball, loving the rides and meeting the characters. Sam mainly slept in his pushchair! LOL!
Am hoping to get round to a trippie, but for now here are some highs and lows.

Lows
* Friday night and Saturday were heaving, and i mean heaving. We have been at busy times before, but it was crazy and along with the rain made it quite hard work at times.
*Some unpleasant people who felt they needed to let us know that they didn't think a young baby should be out. Didn't quite understand where they were coming from , Sam was wrapped up warm and snug and happy as anything.
*We had ordered a birthday cake and were not allowed to take it from the restaurant. If we had been told this when we ordered it that would have been fine, but we didn't realise that was the case and it felt such a waste of food.

HIGHS
*SL. What a gorgeous view. We ended up with a montana room, overlooking the lake. We could see the castle! The hotel had a nice atmosphere and I really liked the theming.
*EMH- Evie and i went into the DL park on Sunday morning and got loads done.
* Plaza Gardens, good value and good food.
*Auberge- This is an expensive meal, but the food and service was amazing. Evie was soooooooooooooo thrilled to meet the Princesses and even danced with Belle.
*Seeing the Christmas theming, it was lovely, still singing along to the music!
*The new Toy Story area, loved Slinky Dog!
*Playhouse Disney Live. Evie loves it!
*Seeing the Christmas edition of IASW!
* Sunday and Monday were lovely and quiet in comparison to previous days.
*Mild weather.

More will probably come to mind! We had such a great trip!

Aw sounds great overall :goodvibes.
I don't understand folk who judge you when you're out with little ones when the weathers bad either - as long as they are warm and dry, the fresh air is good for them!

"We had ordered a birthday cake and were not allowed to take it from the restaurant"

What???

That's ridiculous!

We certainly did....particularly as we'd ordered one with the Lucky Nugget buffet and were all too stuffed to eat it

I'd email a complaint about that.

i think there are two different cakes. one uses fresh cream so they wont allow you to take that for health and safety reasons. i still think its pretty ridiculous. they should have asked you if you were taking the cake with you. who eats a whole cake in one sitting?

sounds like you had a great trip overall. cant wait to hear more

It didn't have fresh cream, was just a chocolate cake.

Apart for the stupidness regarding the cake it sounds like you had a great trip :goodvibes

Welcome back, glad you enjoyed the most part of your trip:goodvibes

I'm guessing you had the chocolate mousse kind of cake? Small World had similar problems with hers a couple of years ago if I remember rightly...

Actually we were allowed to take the cake. They couldnt give us a box to take it in for health and safety reasons but we had to take it on a glass plate instead :confused3. This was from Inventions and we were staying in the DLH - not sure what would have happened if we hadnt been. This was the chocolate mousse cake.

The other one we had from Cafe Mickey for DD was a sponge cake and we were given the box for that to take it away in.

I have heard of other people ordering cakes though and not being allowed - to take it away

We had a cake on Thursday night & didn't even ask for the box, they automatically gave it to us. We were in Cafe Mickey & it was a chocolate sponge cake.

Welcome back! Glad you had a good trip, despite the cake and opinionated people incidents!
