me and dbf headed for the parks on the 7.45 bus to make full use of the EMH (without my brother as he had no AP). We headed straight for fantasyland and the rides i've never been on or rarely go on because they're too busy (peter pans flight and Dumbo). We also managed to cram in rides on the carousel, teacups, buzz lightyear and a couple of rounds of space mountain before we left the park at 9.15 to meet my brother and head for the studios.

Afet meeting my bro we jumped straight in the queue for the gates then joined the rush to get to the queue for crushes coaster...nothing better than an early morning run!!!:rotfl: Unfortunately this ride also involved a nice shower on the outdoor part, we didn't realise it had started to pour down so we got a bit of a shock lol! After crush (and silently mocking all the people who would be in the queue for an hour and a half) we headed to the other big rides in the studios, tower of terror and rock n roller coaster. The queue was short for the tram tour so we jumped on that while we had the chance and sat my brother on the side where all the water comes down so he would be the one getting wettest hehe. After this we had lunch at the backlot express and headed back to the main park.

We headed straight for adventure land to Adventure Isle and through Davy Jones locker and had a jump around on the suspension bridge! Then it was back to indiana Jones which decided to break down just as we had set off so we were stuck in the carriage for a bit until they restarted the ride. Then it was off to frontierland where we picked up a fastpass for BTM (BTW everyone who is considering buying those fastpass tickets from ebay, they work fine!) and had a ride on phantom manor then on the Molly Brown, which is a first for me and something i thoroughly enjoyed. The afternoon was filled with rides on teacups, its a small world, casey jr, the storybook ride and alices labyrinth, then a trip to discoveryland for space mountain and buzz.

We ate at Blue Lagoon, which was quieter than normal and we were even given a table on the beach! The swordfish was as good as ever and both dbf and bro had ostrich. After dinner we went back round some of the quieter rides like Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain and Indiana Jones, then headed back to frontierland for a few rides of BTM before the parade started.

The fantillusion was as magical as ever! i'm sure i get more excited than some of the kids :wizard: dbf also really enjoyed it but my brother wasnt overly impressed lol. I got a new camera for my birthday and was really pleased that for the first time in 4 years my pictures from the parade finally came out!!! We headed back to the holiday inn after the parade to get a bit of an early night for the early start the next day!

sounds like you're having a great time ... seeing your photos is making me so excited for October and the food looks great, we've never eaten at the Blue Lagoon but all these photos of food are making me think we'll try something other than AD next time. Looking forward to your next report :)

lol i've only been home for 2 days and i miss it so much already!

Wow Sam!! The Blue Lagoon looks amazing! Can't believe all the bad reviews I've seen if thats what the food is like...... Was it actually good food? And service?? And what did you have with the Ostrich and the Swordfish?? Sorry, it's a lot of questions... I just do have a bit of a fancy for eating here!! You should stick them on the Blue Lagoon thread- There's not been many pics on there recently!

Lovely pictures- Love the one of your DBF posing at Discoveryland!!

Great TR so far Sam!! I'm looking desperately in the background of all your photos as we were in FL that morning too! But alas, I can't see me!!

Can't wait for the other days!!

The food was really nice the ostrich is normally served with fried plantain and the swordfish is normally with perfumed rice i think but we all had it changed to fries (well, round fries!) coz dbf doesnt like plantain and last year i found the rice too creamy! The service was good as well this year, but last year it was a bit slow because the restaurant was full and the waiters/waitresses had too many tables to do.

I would really love to try the Blue Lagoon, but I want to know if it's 'worth the risk' after I've read so many bad reviews.... Plus, I'm finding it hard to convince Robert to go...

I enjoyed it both times i've been i just think you have to go when its fairly quiet otherwise the service can be a bit slow.

Sounds like another good day in the Magic.

The Fantillusion Parade looks awesome! In all the times I been to Disney I've only ever seen the Electrical Light Parade (as it was called at the time) once!! It must be because I keep going off season

What a funfilled day, love the food pictures (now I'm hungry!) - my daughter has a phobia about Ostriches, wonder what she'd say if we had a meal at the Blue Lagoon!
