Hi, I need to know before I buy the tickets online if the exact same credit card is necessary at electronic pick up or at the front gate to show proof of payment. This is my situation. I need 2 tickets for our party of 5. At the gate I believe they are $125. I can get them online right now for $99. but I would have to put them on my friends credit card and give him the $$. So for their and everyones protection, I understand the "proof" needed but I will not be able to bring that exact card because he needs it. I will however have another card (of his) with a (permission to use) letter. Would this be ok or should I not chance it? Anyone have any experience with this?
thankyou

I am afraid that you will need the credit card you purchased the ticets with to pick up them electronicly but unless I am wrong you can pick them up at ticket window but have to show id.

Yes...the same credit card and confirmation # is required to use electronic pick up.

Ok so would it be ok to pick them up at guest services and show id only?
thank you

Hmm...not sure if they ask to see the credit card at GS or not.

Now that I'm thinking about this...why don't you do the print at home tickets and bring them with you? Your friend can use the credit card and you won't have to show proof of purchase once you arrive.

I could be wrong but I don't think they ask for a credit card but you do have to show ID that shows you are the one that purchased the tickets

That is correct. You would have to show photo ID with the name of the purchaser. So unless your name is the name on the purchase you would not be able to pick them up. Just choose the print-at-home option and your problem is solved.

Also you mentioned using another Credit card of your friend's at the park. In most cases you must show photo ID when using a CC at the park. A permission to use letter will not fly.

thankyou for your replies but I thought you had to show proof with print at home option also. Anybody had any experience with this?

The print at home tickets have the names of people who are using the tickets not who purchased them. You will be fine with those.

I was looking on the universal website after reading your question, and it does say you need to show ID and the credit card with the print at home tickets also.

What about ordering tickets through undercover tourist? They would be actual hard tickets, not vouchers....

well undercover tourist would be ok except we are leaving tues or wednesday coming up for a two day drive to arrive on Friday the 6th. I'm afraid I wouldn't get them in time. I waited so long because I didn't know whether my son and his girlfriend were coming. I actually still don't but figured if I at least had the tickets then I wouldn't be hit up with the 124.95 gate cost. I could always save them for myself for a future visit.

There is an option on undercover tourist to pick up your tickets in Orlando, so you wouldn't have to have the tickets shipped.

Here is what it says about picking up the tickets:

Regardless of what the website says: You will not have to show the CC for print at home. The only time you would have to show ID is if the ticket had been used once and the fingerscan didn't work the next time. But even then, your name would be on the ticket and so your photo ID would still work. You will not need the original CC.

People change CC all the time. Their old one may expire and they get another one. They may order online with one but use a different one when they travel. If you were picking them up at the kiosk you would need the original CC, but not for print at home.

The season pass is only $99 at the front gate anyway, not $125. So just buy it when you get there and avoid this confusion.

The 7-day tickets I bought (3 Adult and 3 Children) will be almost two years old when I finally get there in June.
I bought them for electronic pickup at a US using my credit card, NOT knowing that my company would issue a new CC and change my previous number.
I do still have the old expired CC and can take it, along with ID.
Will I have a problem getting my tickets.... I know I will probably have to see some one in person about this issue.
AND, I only want to actually use two of the children's tickets and will be not activating the other 4, since I won an adult ticket in the SuperBowl giveaway that needs to be used this year.
Will they let me get a hard copy of the other 4 tickets, but not activate them, saving them for future use??

Yes just take the old credit card and swipe it and it should give them to you and if for some reason it doesn't just take old credit card and confirm number to ticket window with your ID and should be no problem.
When you get your tickets they will all be hard tickets and you can use the ones you want cause they never expire until 6 day after the first day you use them.
Hope this helps

I bought the $99.00 tickets online and printed the tickets out. But, I don't want to carry around 4 sheets of paper every day (what if they get wet). So, I was told to go and switch them for the regular looking hard tickets at guest services, and that I would need my ID and the card used during purchase.

Yes that is true you can do that cause I have done it but if you want to keep the print at home then you could fold them up and put them in plastic ziploc bags and for safety I always printed out a few extra

If I have this right, you bought 6 tickets 2 years ago.

You will receive all the tickets when you use the kiosk machine when you go to pick them up.

If you do not use a couple of those tickets, put them in a safe place for a future use.

The are only activated once you use them.
