Salute tickets...SOG vs ITT

I thought I read somewhere that anyone can call SOG and order tickets and they are already activated ready to go....no need to check in with guest services at any of the parks or DS. Is this right? Or do I still need to go to guest service to activate those tickets. We live on a base but looking into something for other people in our party for our fall trip.

I ordered mine from SOG. They will send tickets ready to go. No need to activate.

So this would basically get around the idea that say my parents are joining us and will be going to a different park on our first day compared to them and they don't need us....I want to make sure cause we will probably be staying at 2 different resorts and not sure of all the plans...heck we are still just putting our plans together.
