salt-water pool and killing trees

My neighbors are draining their pool and it is all running into my yard and pooling up around my house. Will this hurt my grass and trees? I went over there and told them to move it so it drains somewhere else but my yard looks like a small pond now.

This is bad...it's very likely that yes it will cause damage to your lawn and trees...I would definitely document with photos and that you did ask them to move the drain to another area....good luck!

We have a salt water pool and I backflush regularly over grass and flowerbeds and nothing happens to the plants or grass- I do not think the concentration of salt is high enough to kill if they have it at the correct level for a pool. We have many flowerbeds around the pool and no damage ever from splash out etc..... however I would still not want neighbours to flood my yard!

This. We've never had a problem, in fact I think it is much easier on the yard that the heavily chlorinated water we had before the salt system.

I'm pretty sure the documentation with our salt water system said it wasn't salty enough to hurt vegetation.
