I try to stay away from salt because of high blood pressure and I am wondering if anyone knows how easy it is to order just the sandwich at HOB DTD and not the fries. Are they an easy-going restaurant that will take off the price of fries or substitute? I know some restaurants are great and others don't want to change anything (like Cheesecake Factory).

If you really want fries, I am sure they can make them with no salt on them, much less sodium than will be in the sandwich its self. However, I can not image they would not sub the fries for a veggie or maybe for a small fee, a side salad. I had to really watch my sodium at one point and it is amazing where the stuff hides. A grilled chicken sandwich is FULL of sodium!!!!

My BP is under good control now with medication so I do not have to be near as careful but try to use my knowledge to make at least "better" choices most of the time!!!

I am on medication too but still find that a lot of salt bothers me and I can feel the effects. More rapid heartbeat and red cheeks. I also get very thirsty. My physical was last week and my bp is great and the doctor even mentioned that maybe I could be taken off this particular med. some time ...maybe fall.

I didn't even think about the chicken sandwich! Just recently I was volunteering at a hospital and was going to choose a chicken wrap for lunch but then saw the sign said it had 900 calories. Wow!
