Sales PResentation and Tour of BLT

Not sure if any of this has already been posted. We attended a sales presentation on 7/1/09 at the Contemporary. We received an email before our trip to get a sneak preview of the BLT villas and special incentives for members. Members and non-members attended this event. It was a fun presentation. It seemed they were trying to educate members on Adventures by Disney. We were given small gifts like leather luggage tags, binoculars, iced rice crispy treats and a vinyl DVC folder with tablet and pen (for the life of me, I cannot think of the proper name of it!) There was a door prize of a 7 day trip with Adventures by Disney which we did not win After the presentation and before the tours, there were light sandwiches, fruit kabobs and ice cream bars to enjoy along with character signings and a DJ with dancing. Very festive! They were giving special incentives for the event only. (Several of these events are being held through out July).

100 Points $12 off or $100/point
160 points- $15 off or $97/point
200 points - $17 off or $95/point
I believe these also applied to SSR and AKV

We were not planning to add on so I did not pay as close attention as I should have. I wrote the numbers above done on the tablet.

The units in the BLT are gorgeous. The grand villa is amazing! I loved the lookout area. The lounge is going to be first come first serve starting at 5 PM until capacity is met (I believe the number was around 79). I am now really anxious for our upcoming September BLT MK view studio. If we didn't have a son getting ready to go off to college, we would seriously be considering adding on at BLT eventhough we swore we would never add on again!

Disney must make a lot of profit from Adventures By Disney. It seems like most sales presentations have included it, even the DVC shows on TV.

Thanks for posting this info. It's just what I was looking for. I just got contract for BLT add on and wanted to know if incentives at WDW presentations were better than those previously offered. There are no presentations planned during the week we will be there.
Only 6 days til BW.

Oh, yes! I took lots of pictures! I have not had time since we came back to try to figure out how to post them. The studio is definitely small but the one bedroom is quite roomy.

We are scheduled to attend the VAYW thing this weekend. I'm still on the fence on whether it is worth the drive down. I would be very excited to see how the resort has shaped up though, but I do know it'll be hard to resist an add-on. I'm glad to hear the one bedroom is quite roomy-we will be staying in one in October. Thanks for sharing all the info!

How and when were you invited? We leave for WDW in 6 wks and would love to do this tour and presentation1 But we did already add on at BLt.
