Most people seem to prefer PSE. In fact I bought it for myself about 2 months ago. However, I find myself using my Photo Impact most of the time. I have a feeling that once I figure out how to use PSE I will use features from each program. Sorry I wasn't more help. Penny

I am in your situation. Great dvice that I received from the forum is to download a trial for free and try it out. I downloaded PSE a couple days ago and I am slowly trying to figure it out by using the "help" function and also the many kind people at DIS. Best of luck!

I have downloaded GIMP for free and use it where I would have used Photoshop.

I have not figured out all of the functions but it is very powerful and very much like PSE but FREE!!!!

PI is probably still better at doing the lettering and borders as it has a database (I think? I do not have it but have seen it on others computers.) Can anyone confirm or deny?
