Salad count as appetizer?

I notice on some of the menus for TS places they have a section for appetizers and a seperate section for salads - California Grill and Le Cellier for example. I was wondering if a salad counts as an appetizer?

Yes - soups, salads or starters - they all count as appetizers.

(my god daughter often got ceasar salad - All Hail Ceasar!)
