7 more days and I'll be at WDW too (not staying AKL this time). I know for sure I will stop by AKL for Zebra Domes a time or 2 (or 3!!! ) Maybe I'll see you there! Safe travels and have a wonderful time!!!

Hello, Jamborinis!

I am super-duper waaaaay behind here. Congrats to all the grads, safe travels to all those lucky enough to be heading to WDW and pixie dust to all who need it!

Thanks for all the information on both safaris. The food looks delicious at Jiko. I have eaten there many times before it is one of my favorite restaurants. We are staying for 5 nights over labor day weekend. We already have the sunrise safari booked but am definitely thinking we will do the sunset as well. Partially since it is a holiday weekend anything i can book that is not involved in normal park hours would be great. We go a lot so this is not a once in a lifetime trip. I go atleast 4 times a year sometimes more.

This is our third trip at AKL and first time in AKL club level. I run the marathon or goofy every year for the last 5 years so for that trip we always stay Polynesian club level.

Has anyone ever gone to the Welcome Home Wednesdays. We are thinking of going to one of the meetings on the day we arrive. Since we will be at the Beach Club for the first night I thought it would be cool to walk over and attend.

You should definitely do it since you'll be in the area! Just make sure you have your DVC card with you -- you need that to get in. It used to be at 4pm (for about an hour) - but I think it's earlier now (maybe 2?).

They serve lemonade and popcorn or cracker jacks. It's a game show format (Jeopardy) with DVC prizes! Everyone gets a gift as they leave (usually a DVC ball cap).

It's worth doing at least once!

Good morning I am new to this board but had a question. We are planning a trip for June 2012 and are wanting to book a 2 bedroom standard view hopefully at Kidani. I won't be able to book anything until January (tax time vacation!!). Do you "experts" think that will happen for us or will it be too late? Thanks

You are planning to book through Disney Travel (not through DVC on points)? Either way you shouldn't have any trouble. (I just wouldn't wait much longer than January to book it!)
